If you've tried your Bluetooth controller and it doesn't work with macOS, but it is an official first party controller as mentioned above, Apple recommends upgrading to the latest version of macOS. Lastly, at the very bottom I'll give you a snippet of the log but it's pretty obvious that it's not loving me. macOS by default supports official Bluetooth Xbox One, PS4, Xbox One Series S/X, PS5 and Made For Apple controllers only. I'm also pasting the hardwired VEN/PID and the bluetooth VEN/PID along with the image below. As you'd imagine Amazon is FULL of them :) This way users can add unknown/untested clone controllers at will w/o Devs having to recompile. It supports touch Panel, Speaker & Stereo Headset Jack, Dual Vibration, Motion Control etc. To be honest, it would be great if these Vendor and Product ID's lived in some editable text (config/yaml) file (which I was not able to find) so I'm guessing those ID's are compiled into the binary. I am using Gamory ps4 controller (from amazon) which is fully functional supported controller with all variants of ps4 consoles and can be connected via bluetooth or usb.
I have the same exact issue and would appreciate an update that I could test out. Thanks for trying to get these clone DS4 controllers to work.
